Գուրգեն Խանջյանի «Համբերություն քեզ, մարդ ջան» ստեղծագործությունը լրիվ անկեղծ պատմում էր կյանքի մասին: Պատմվածքում խոսվում էր մեր կյանքի դժվարությունների, սովորությունների, բախումների ու ամենօրյա իրավիճակների մասին: Ստեղծագործությունը հետաքրքիր էր, սակայն նրան ավելի էր գեղեցկացնում ու դարձնում յուրահատուկ հեղինակի անկեղծ գրելաոճը: Նա գրում էր առավելագույնս անկեղծ, ազատ էր ընթերցողի հանդեպ, ինչն էլ ստիպում էր հաճույքով ընթերցել պատմվածքը: Կարծում եմ, որ գրելիս հեղինակի անկեղծությունը շատ է գնահատվում ընթերցողի կողմից: Հեղինակը պատմում էր հասարակ մարդկանց կյանքերի մասին՝ թե ինչպես ենք ծնվում, մեծանում, ինչեր են տեղի ունենում, ինչպես ենք ծերանում . . . հետաքրքիր էր:
